GCSE AQA/WJEC 9-1 An Inspector Calls revision game

Full lesson. Revision on the full play of An Inspector Calls. Used with new specification and I also used an extract from the play for later analysis (the slides are also included here). The rules are as follows: - Give each team a copy of the board and a copy of each slide. - The students roll two dice and use a number on each to move across and upward until they land on a square. - Discuss as a team and try to reach a valid conclusion. - I also had my students making notes as they played.

Both sheets explore key character quotations from the novel. The 'Micro Quote' sheet can be used to trigger memory of longer quotations or can be used to suitably integrate quotations when analysing the rest of the novel. NEW GCSE - lesson from 9-1 scheme - The Prologue

This lesson explores Shakespeare's forms as it looks at his other sonnets and their structure. A challenging lesson but allows students to focus on form and structure as well as language, which will move them into the top band of the mark scheme. Students then analyse the language in the prologue and construct their own GCSE style question before attempting to answer.
