The Time Traveller and the Adventure in Ancient Rome is the first book in the series of cross curricular resources. These resources allow teachers to fulfill the requirements of the National Curriculum. The story includes facts about Ancient Rome, especially the life of a Roman citizen. A series of teaching resources, that cover reading and writing learning objectives, have been produced to accompany the book. A whole story is narrated and animated in a set of videos which offer a visual option to the story. The book is available from Amazon. This KS2 comprehension bundle has the added bonus of a Steps to Success help sheet with explanation video. Also included in an original text: The Time Traveller and the Adventure in Ancient Rome. This text is also an Ancient Romans topic resource, with facts about Ancient Roman life set in a story format. There are 8 chapters and each chapter has a set of questions based on the NC content domains. An extension task ask questions on the NC SPAG learning objectives. Finally, a video showing how the Steps to Success with Comprehension info mat was used to answer a short comprehension.

I made this video to highlight the basic principles of Remembrance Sunday and especially commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War and Armistice Day. Hopefully the video will initiate discussion of: Feelings about the past. How war has an effect on all people. Sacrifice: especially the final image. The lives and freedom we have today.
