This lesson can be used alone or as part of a sequence. It looks at what democracy is and how it works in the UK. It explains what parties, consistituencies and elections are and how they work. It includes discussion and written work and videos.

Reading the Bible - lesson for KS3 When studying RS/RE a big part of understanding where the basis of religion comes from is by analysing the scriptures. This lesson helps students understand how to read parts of the Bible and decipher what the parts mean. It looks at the language and why the Bible was written the way it was. Can be used as a one off lesson or as part of a series. Teacher to source own 4 versions of Psalm 23 for this lesson.

This assembly allows students to feel they have not failed by not achieving what they first set out to do, and shows them that all failured attempts can be turned into successes. This assembly is roughly 30 minutes long but can easily be shortened or lengthened with student engagement.

Bostcastle Flooding 3 Lesson Bundle - these lessons can be used as part of a flooding module or as a stand alone mini series to fill cover lessons within geography. The lessons are split but can easily be linked if desired. The first lesson looks at the causes of floods and includes a research task for students. Technology will be needed for this lesson. Lesson two focuses on Boscastle and the geographical location and features of it. Using the research from lesson 1 there is an exam practice question. Lesson 3 is a consolidation lesson which allows students to create a poster explaining what happened at Boscastle and why.
