Colour by Number Bonds (to 10 and 20)

Colour by Number Bonds (to 10 and 20)

(0)
This resource provides a great final activity to check for the understanding of and competency in identifying number bonds to 10 and 20. The sheets have a missing component of the number bonds with the number corresponding to a colour. This is great for the children to improve their familiarity with numbers, seeing the number bond as an entire calculation and finding missing digits with the added advantage of colouring. There are 4 worksheets in total with answer sheets: Number bonds to 10 (higher and lower) Number bonds to 20 (higher and lower) The ‘lower’ worksheets have less items to consider allowing them to use whiteboards and any other resources to support their workings to find the answer. Each sheet has a question encouraging them to consolidate their learning. The higher Number bonds to 20 sheet also contains a mixture of single and double missing digits for the bonds to 20. The worksheets are provided in a PPT format however the size is set to A4 allowing them to be printed as normal.

Year 6 Properties of Shapes Lesson Plan and Worksheets

(0)
This resource is a Year 6 Mathematics lesson plan on Geometry: Properties of Shapes. Included in this resource is: A detailed lesson plan including lesson objectives, outcomes, starter, main activity and timings (based on a 1 hour lesson). There is also two types of worksheets differentiated based on ability. The Green Sheet (as detailed in the lesson plan) is for the lower-ability children, and the Blue Sheet is for the higher-ability children, with the opportunity for you to decide on the activity most appropriate for those children in the middle. The activity itself is for the majority the same, as is the final outcome, and the basic knowledge of the topic. The worksheets come as two sets of Green and Blue, one set is a Task List of the activities, the second is a Worksheet with space for answers/drawings removing the need for books during the lesson. For those children who are significantly struggling there is also a Net Guidance Sheet. The learning objectives (DfE, 2014) for this lesson are: 1. To recognise, describe and build 3-D shapes 2. To make nets for 3-D shapes 3. To draw 2-D shapes using given dimensions and angles A free download of one of the worksheet sets is available for you to take a look at before you buy, however the lesson plan helps considerably as does having the differentiated worksheet. If you do choose to download this resource or the free one I would really appreciate it if you could leave a review.
Number Bond Games (to 10 and 20)

Number Bond Games (to 10 and 20)

(0)
Ideal for Year 1, these PPT documents can be printed as normal due to its A4 size format. Both can easily be laminated and reused. There are two games included: Snakes and Ladders (number bonds to 10 only) and Match Me (number bonds to 10 and 20). The Snakes and Ladders game requires two dice. If they roll a number bond to 10, they can move 2 spaces, if they roll an odd number they can only move 1 space, any other is 0 spaces. This allows the children to secure their knowledge of number bonds to 10 as well as odd numbers in a fun and familiar context. The Match Me game includes two sheets (bonds to 10 and bonds to 20). Both have 2 sets per page. These cards could then also be used in an interactive whole class game in which the teacher calls a number, and the children must find the number to make the bond to 10. Similarly, they could do this in their pairs as a quick lesson starter.

Fractions of Quantities Game

Fractions of Quantities Game

A fantastic starter for Year 4 children who have been introduced to fractions of quantities, or as a recap for Year 5 children. It allows the children to work in pairs and use the starter as a game to practice their ability to calculate fractions of quantities. Included is two separate documents, one is for higher ability (HA) and the other for lower ability (LA). Each document has two sets of the game on one sheet allowing the required number of sheets to simply be printed. Printing them on coloured paper can also make it more interesting for the children. Laminating them and keeping them in envelopes/plastic pouches can keep the individual games together and allow them to be used over and over again.

French Number Line Game

This French Number Line Game Sheet is designed for Year 3 but can be adapted to suit lower years if they are familiar with smaller numbers. It is ideal for engaging the children in a fun and stimulating context to help them visualise the numbers in the correct order and in relation to the numbers in English to make them easier to remember. This resource includes instructions for the game and the timeline and numbers in French to go with it, it also includes a separate sheet with the timeline and numbers together to allow you to simply photocopy them and cut them in half. It satisfies the Key Stage 2 learning objective to be met 'to play games to help remember' and the learning outcome of beginning 'to know numbers 1-10' (QCA, 2007). It also includes becoming familiar with their core language in Unit 1: All about Me. It is also possible to meet the speaking and listening aims to 'engage in conversations; ask and answer questions; express opinions and respond to those of others; seek clarification and help' and to 'listen attentively to spoken language and show understanding by joining in and responding' (DfE, 2013)

Rounding Decimals and Converting Masses-Extra Practice

This resource is simply an extra practice sheet (with a separate answer sheet) for students who simply need a few more practice questions to solidify their knowledge and understanding. It is most appropriate for Year 5 however can be adapted to suit other years. Some of the questions are taken from the Rising Stars programme pupil workbooks. This sheet is handy for the student to either work on during spare time they may have/homework club, or can be set as casual homework to be gone through together or marked together at a later date. It is worth noting that I put together this sheet originally for a student who asked for more help, it was not extra work given, it was provided at their request, and that is how I wish for this sheet to be distributed to any other students.

Year 6 Properties of Shapes Worksheet

This worksheet belongs with it's original full resource set which you can find on my profile that comes with a differentiated worksheet, and a lesson plan. An activity worksheet for Year 6 Geometry: Properties of Shapes in relation to 3-D nets and 2-D shapes. It comes with two documents, one is a Worksheet which gives space for the answers/drawings, the other is a Task List with the same activities but the work itself will be done in their books. This worksheet as it stands is more of a free taster, but there is no reason why it cannot be used on its own.
