I am a teacher who has worked with SEND pupils, especially those with literacy problems. I have also taught English as a foreign language. For several years I worked with Easylearn publishers, developing resources for children struggling with English and Maths. I am one of the creators of the Froggy Match-it phonics app, which helps beginner readers to learn to read and spell effectively.

These 12 sheets offer English work with a Christmas theme for Primary School children and those with Special Needs. 4 of the sheets deal with rhyming words. The other 8 focus on the morphological principles of word construction, e.g. plurals with -s and -ies, past tense with -ed and the past tense of common irregular verbs. The sheets are clearly set out and can be worked on independently, requiring little teacher intervention: perfect for this busy season. They are also useful to send home for the holidays.
