A rectangle is taken away one at a time and the children have to guess the hidden Olympic Sport. This could be done as a competition where each team is allowed one guess after each box is removed. This is a wonderful resource that can be used for children of any age. I start my daily Maths lesson with five different questions that cover five different areas of the curriculum. The children write their answers on a small whiteboard. The PowerPoint can be easily edited to suit any age and any level. I am currently using it for Year Three and the children have very much enjoyed the unit. At the end of the three week unit the children will write their own version of Flat Stanley using the Powerpoint and Success Criteria as an aid.
