Somewhere Over the Rainbow Ukulele Grade 1 Teaching Support

(0)
**This is a PowerPoint presentation providing full tuition support for the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, which features on the current Rock School syllabus for Grade 1 Ukulele. It is ideal for both peripatetic teachers teaching one-to-one, and classroom teachers teaching whole class ukulele, serving as a great complement to the RSL Grade 1 Ukulele book, which it is assumed that you will have. ** The PowerPoint breaks down Somewhere Over the Rainbow into sections, and includes slowed down MP3s, produced in Sibelius software, modelling each section for students to play along with. These slowed down play-along tracks serve as a great stepping stone to being able to perform with the RSL full track and backing track audios at full speed, which it is assumed that you will have. This resource also includes easy to understand grids for the chords in Somewhere Over the Rainbow, helpful grids for proper left hand finger technique, and easy to understand counting, in terms of performing rhythms correctly. Finally, a slowed down play-along annotated video brings all of the learning together to ensure a confident performance of the piece. When you choose to buy a resource from Branch Line Music, you can have the confidence that it will be of the highest quality in both content and presentation. Furthermore, you will find it very straight-forward to contact me if you need to, or would like to. Pre-purchase, you can email any questions to branchlinemusic@hotmail.com, and I aim to respond within a few hours; post-purchase, you will find a ‘welcome letter’ in the learning package with a contact telephone number. Thank you for your interest in Branch Line Music.

St Patrick’s Day Reel Ukulele Trio

(0)
This is an original composition and arrangement from Branch Line Music, aimed at Ukulele beginners who are at about Grade 1 to 2 in standard (RSL). Not only does it work fantastically well on St Patrick’s Day, it will also fit into any other Irish or folk themed project. The piece is designed to work as either a duet or trio, offering flexibility for your teaching, and as you can see from the images, it’s arranged with both tab and score, side by side. This resource includes 5 x PDF scores as follows: 1 x Individual Part for Ukulele 1; 1 x Individual Part for Ukulele 2; 1 x Individual Part for Ukulele 3; 1 x Full Duet Score; 1 x Full Trio Score. There is also an MP3 Audio for each PDF, 5 in total. Ukulele 1 is the lead part; Ukulele 2 is the chord part; Ukulele 3 is a harmony for the lead part, acting as a second melody, though in almost rhythmic unison. If you are working with just one student, have them learn the lead or chord part and then you can play the other part. If you have 2 students in the lesson, you can add the 3rd part yourself for extra fun. If you’re working with a class, divide the parts up as you see fit. You have all that you need included to make this a great lesson! When you choose to buy a resource from Branch Line Music, you can have the confidence that it will be of the highest quality in both content and presentation. Furthermore, you will find it very straight-forward to contact me if you need to, or would like to. Brahms Intermezzo in A Major Sibelius Score AQA A Level Music

(0)
This resource comprises a complete Sibelius Score for Johannes Brahms’ Intermezzo in A Major, Opus 118 No. 2 for piano, currently on the AQA A Level Music specification as part of Strand C, the Piano Music of Chopin, Brahms, and Grieg. For your ease and convenience, you will find 10 different Sibelius versions of the score as follows: Sibelius 7.5; Sibelius 7; Sibelius 7 First; Sibelius 6; Sibelius 6 First; Sibelius Student; Sibelius 5; Sibelius 5 First; Sibelius 5 Student; Sibelius 4. A Sibelius score is an invaluable tool when teaching set works as it allows you to isolate specific passages and the right or left hand piano parts of the score to either play back or study. It brings the more traditional printed score to life, and not only that, it is an extremely useful aid for analysis, too – for teachers and students. Sibelius software contains some excellent tools that, amongst many other things, will analyse chords for you across both parts, making key changes easier to identify, and it can find motifs, including developments of motifs. At the other end of the learning spectrum, if you have students who struggle with reading the bass clef part, and it is getting in the way of their ability to analyse harmony in class, with a click or two you can put both parts into treble clef, and transpose it up an octave. Students can then continue in their own time to develop their wider score-reading skills without them falling behind in harmonic analysis, too. A Sibelius score is a win-win, every time – just make sure that you have a version of the Sibelius software mentioned in the 2nd paragraph above, if you decide to purchase this resource. When you choose to buy a resource from Branch Line Music, you can have the confidence that it will be of the highest quality in both content and presentation.
