A set of Summer Holidays WIDGIT symbols for use in sentence construction activities or as individual symbols. Perfect activity for the first week back and to see what level your new students are working at.
Symbols include: swimming, holiday, beach, shops, cinema and more, as well as all relevant sentence starters and verbs!
Differentiate by altering the amount of symbols given and how they should be used. From using single symbols to make choices or paste down, connecting symbols, constructing short sentences or using as a prompt for students own writing.
Possible Learning Objectives:
To select symbols from a choice of X to show what I did during summer.
To use two symbols to make a meaningful utterance ‘swimming, beach / brother, playing’
To use symbols to make a 3/4 key word sentence
To construct a sentence using provided symbols within a formatted grid

A set of 15 A5 conversation cards made using Communicate InPrint 3 and WIDGIT symbolised for extra accessibility. Perfect conversation starters for students with Autism, Speech and language difficulties, EAL, communication difficulties and more. Cards are made to be printed double sided, and then laminated for extra longevity!
Use with adult support and modeling, in SALT, or in student groups to aid conversation skills. Easily differentiate through the level of adult support and modeling to encourage independence.
Topics include: Christmas, parties, summer holidays, football and more.
This book is perfect for children at a phase 2 phonics level to help practice letter formation skills and reading. Each page shows a picture and 3 letter word for each letter of the alphabet using familiar WIDGIT symbols and a space for the child to practice!
Simply print the pages, cut down to A5 or smaller, laminate with glossy laminate (so you can write and erase) and bind. Use dry-erase markers and wipe off to re-use again and again.
Please note some pages contain words that are not 3 letters (Q, U, X).
