They will then create a leaflet which has differentiated tasks and success criteria. It is based on Canterbury but would just need to change the name to make it your local area, or they could make up an area. Could be used for KS3 or KS4.

Looking at earthquake management and mitigation. Looks at a couple of different ways including earthquake proof buildings. Students can then design their own. Once designed you can also use cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows (or paper straws etc) to make them and test them but this is optional.

Looking at an overview of superpowers and how they demonstrate hard and soft power. Aimed at KS3/KS4 but could be used as a basic introduction for KS5 as includes some of the key information. A variety of tasks including finding resources around the room, with worksheets and resources provided, does not require any textbooks. Also includes other tasks that can be done before or after that look at the specific types of aid available and given. It mentions a specific textbook to use but this information is in any GCSE spec textbook.
