Hello All, Within this resource you will be able to access a practical melodrama SoL with: 1 x SoL 7 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons 1 x Assessment feedback sheet All handouts that go with the lessons. This scheme of learning has been designed to prepare students for the Scripted Performances unit of GCSE Drama. Students will focus on developing their physical and vocal acting skills in the correct performance style, interpreting a character and being able to communicate that to the audience without getting “Stuck in the script” and also eliciting the expectation of learning lines for a performance so that doesn’t come as a surprise during KS4. They will also understand the importance of historical / social context when preparing a performance and the influence that has on style.
