Activity one is putting the correct punctuation into sentences. Activity two is a crossword where all of the answers relate to punctuation. An assembly that looks at year 6 leading the school and the qualities required. then looking at some famous leaders and the qualities they have, Winston Churchill, Tony Stark, The Queen, Yoda and your own head (who is put in because they told you too). it ends with questioning the year groups what can they do to lead the school. for your own school you can make it more specific if you have prefects, mentors or school council etc. Enjoy

An assembly looking at respect and treating each other how you would like to be treated. two brothers have joined yr 6 one is respectful and polite the other is rude and hates doing as he is asked. They explore the school and come into reception play area, the nice brother does as he is asked while the other causes distraction. the reception pupils help the nice brother when he needs it while they get even with the nasty brother.

A selection of sheets that give general information on the various natural disasters that can occur. It covers el nino, to hurricanes, to volcanic eruptions to epidemics etc.

An assembly on Friday 13th, looking at its origins, superstitions and what is done to avoid the number thirteen. it ends with an optional prayer

A poem based on a teacher asking a pupil what they want to be when they grow up. There are then multiple versus as different ideas come to the pupil. it then continues where your class or child adds their own versions, and illustrate accordingly. just added lesson idea for reception and KS1 lesson idea for KS2 Assembly idea display headings and poem. Add pictures of different jobs etc or get the class to draw them.

A welcome back assembly for the new year. looking at the history of the new year with the Julian calendar starting the year at 1st Jan, then how the idea of the new year being 1st Jan changed in the middle ages. to the reintroduction with the new calendar led by the pope. Then looking at how people celebrate, along with where the first celebrations are and then where the last are and the distance between them (less than 140 miles).

Long multiplication can sometimes be hard for some pupils to grasp, they can misplace a zero, not carry a number etc. I know its tricky (thankfully we have calculators). Here is a step method of looking at it. it has grayed out areas and default zeros added. the do times by units then add up, then tens and add up and so on until you add all the sums up at the end. contained is an example and a blank sheet for pupils to try with.

A maths activity for your class. The pupils are in a classroom escape room scenario they must solve five clues to enter a code and escape the room. The clues are word puzzles with either a number or word answer.

An activity assembly. There are four clues to different famous people both real and fictional. the famous names are Bill Gates, Harry Potter, Winston Churchill, Captain Britain, Mr Tickle, Katy Perry, Harry Kane, Harry Styles, Benedict Cumberbatch and an extra slide if you wish to put your head teacher in it. it could be used as a competitive assembly if you have 'houses' or as a class activity.
