I write all sorts of resources for primary and secondary pupils. Have done supply on the full range for more than 10 years now and always come fully armed with resources for my lessons. I aim particularly at the lower groups who are strugglers. Secondary resources have been created for PRU pupils and they have worked REALLY well. The phonics resources were written for a number of pupils that I tutor after school hours and I have had great results.

A set of Cloze procedure exercises which can be used for young readers or for older pupils who struggle with reading and comprehension skills. They have been used successfully at KS3 stage for weak readers in a PRU setting. Clear large font so could be projected onto the whiteboard. These worksheets are based on a list found in the Dfes guide for spellings that should be known in KS3. This is just a start. Please give me feedback if you would like the whole list done like this for pupils who are still on level 3. I used these in a PRU that I worked in and the pupils enjoyed them (mostly boys hence the footballer pics!)

Shane, Jake and the babe. Three monkeys! A cute little story filled with split digraph a - e words. I ask the pupil to first find all the words and then trace over the a-e with a coloured felt tip.
