Students will be able to recognize the ecological impact of Earth Day by participating in constructing their own mini recycling receptacles that they will fill with recycled materials such as paper, plastic and metal and therefore re-purposing these items and giving them new life. They will also write a title and a mini story for a newspaper article to campaign for recycling. This project is done in honor of Earth Day which occurs in April. They will raise awareness among their peers and for themselves on the proper way to recycle by separating the plastics, paper and metal.
