Students are each given an identical bingo card and have to talk with one another to identify a student that meets the criteria for each box - ideally, a different student per box. Winner is the fastest to complete their bingo card. Reviewing the “answers” as a class facilitates students sharing more information about themselves.

This is a lesson originally used with Key Stage 4 Health and Social Care students within Black History Month (October) where students watch a documentary about Mary Seacole, and discuss why it is important that we remember her contributions to the field. The lesson itself is students watching the documentary, to be followed by a homework task to create a newspaper article about Mary. This could be developed into another lesson.

This is a PLC (personalised learning checklist) for Edexcel A Level Psychology. Please note that you may need to edit the contemporary studies as relevant (as the specification offers choice of which to study). The optional unit included in this resource for Paper 2 is Criminological Psychology. The resource contains an Excel spreadsheet with each sub-topic and a column for a RAG rating from students each term, from year 12 term 1 to year 13 term 5 for Paper 1 topics (Sheet 1), and year 13 term 1 to year 13 term 5 for Papers 2 and 3 topics (Sheet 2). These can be printed for students and kept at the front of their folders/books throughout the course and coloured in, or they could of course be shared electronically and completed by changing the colour of the cells.
