Letter Formation Resource Bundle

2 Resources
A fun and engaging way to help your little learner develop their letter formation and handwriting skills. These resources have been carefully designed, using coloured bands and animals, to help children learn the heights of each letter from the start. This ensures that they develop the skill they need as they move to writing on lined paper, knowing how tall to make each letter relative to the size of the lines. This resource will also help your child begin to decrease the size of their letters to be able to write in books and work sheets in the classroom. The repetition of letters promotes muscle memory which is an essential skills for little learners to develop. I recommend laminating these resources to save printing more than once. With the use of a dry-wipe pen this resource will then be able to be used again and again. Included on the final page of the sheets is a QR code linking you to more information about helping your child develop their letter formation on www.hellohappylearner.com.

High Frequency Word Cards - Rainbows and Unicorns

(0)
Make learning to read & write fun! Our cards cover high frequency words that your little one will regularly meet while learning to read and write. They are broken down into three sets following the stages your child will work through as they learn. On the reverse of each set is a different type of image, engaging your child and making it easy to identify the stage packs. The cards identify if words can be decoded (use phonics knowledge) or if they are not decodable. Decodable words have a solid line around the word, and non-decodable have a dashed. Our cards are designed to engage your little ones and promote play. It’s through play that children learn the most. Included in the pack is a QR code taking you to our blog, packed with lots of games and ideas on how to make the most of these cards. This is a digital product for you to print and cut helping keep the costs low and no waiting around for the post. I recommend laminating them for longevity and so your little one can develop their writing skills using a dry-wipe pen to write the words on them again and again. Please check our store for the pack with the images your little one will enjoy the most. This is the rainbows and unicorns pack. Pick the set that your child will enjoy the most.

Sight reading cards, making learning to read fun

These are fun, beautiful cards to help make learning to read and write a joy for the whole family. I have created them to play with at home and to share with you. I am thrilled to be able to be sharing them with you at a minimal fee to help your little ones have fun learning with you. It is the time they spend playing and learning with you now that can make a positive impact on their life long development and love of learning. They are a digital product. For use in my home, I have printed and laminated to ensure they last through lots of play and learning. Print them double sided so that on one side you have the colourful image and the written word whilst the other side is the word alone. This design makes these cards versatile and long lasting. I have selected images and words of things children love, to inspire their imaginations and desire to learn. Some of the words selected will also compliment their early phonic knowledge (i.e. cat, pig, dog). The youngest children will enjoy looking at the pictures and learning what they are called through adults saying the picture names. As children begin to learn that letters create words, they will start to observe the words below the pictures, learning the shape of the word and picking out familiar letters and sounds. For those children beginning to read they can begin to use the two sides of the cards to be able to recognise and read words in isolation (without the picture). All ages will love using their imagination to do real world play; licking the ice creams, wearing the hat above their head or taking the dog out for a walk. The font used compliments the style of writing children are expected to develop on entering school. Children can develop their writing skills by writing or tracing over the words on the cards. If you choose to laminate your cards, use a fine whiteboard pen to be able to write over again and again. Simply wipe the pen away after each use. To make the most of the cards, see our blog on games and ideas to play with them. Either use the QR code included in the pack or visit my website www.hellohappylearner.com.
