I have been teaching Science for 12 years now and the last 11 have been in British International Schools in Mexico and Spain. I have been an IB Diploma examiner for the last 9 years. My specialism is Biology but I currently teach Biology up to IGCSE and KS3 Science. Most of my resources are EAL/ESL focussed as the majority of my pupils do not have English as a mother tongue. I am selling resources for KS3 Science and IGCSE Biology. I continue to upload many resources for free.

Science lab report frame. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!

(6)
This is a lab report frame with colour coordination of variables and goes through the full process. If a pupil follows all the steps they can achieve a level 5 in AF 3,4, and 5. Good for lower ability, really has helped my students a lot.

KS3 tracking spreadsheets

These are two spreadsheets I have made for tracking in KS3. One is by unit which allows you to put in NC grades e.g. 4+,4-,3 for various pieces of work in a unit aswell as effort grades (in my school this is 1 to 5). The other one is by criteria where you only put in NC grades for pieces of work for up to 6 criteria. At the end it gives averages for each criteria, the 6th one has a 50% weighting. With either spreadsheet just hide any columns that you don´t need. The golden rules sheet is something I made for the staff who had lass experience with Excel.

1 to 9 Lab report assessment criteria

(2)
This is a resource that I made for my GCSE pupils to allow me to grade their lab reports on a 1 to 9 scale. It shows features of all parts of a lab report from 1 to 9 (aim, prediction, variables, diagram, method, results table and analysis, conclusion, evaluation. This scale is not specific to any exam board; I made it roughly based on old coursework and APP criteria. This should make marking quicker as it literally includes one sentence per grade.

This 8 page long worksheet was made for last minute revision for IGCSE Coordinated Science for pupils to go over the formulas. They are mostly physics, but also biology for magnification and chemistry mole calculations. There is a space for them to write the formula, an example question and a space for them to do their calculations. Those highlighted grey correspond to the Exended tier of IGCSE Coordinated science 0654. Please note I did not write the questions, they have been taken/borrowed from TES contributors, BBC bitesize and other revision websites.

This PowerPoint includes the structure of the eye, how it focusses images and near/far vision. I have tried to make it as appealing lots of colours, images and animations. Written explanations are as simple as possible as a lot of my pupils are EAL learners. Key vocabulary is highlighted throughout. The planning document includes starter questions and suggested lesson activities. This PowerPoint is a great start to your lesson/planning. All you have to add is learning objectives and activities to suit your syllabus and class. Flipped learning videos of the lessons are available at: http://www.stampscience.com/b7.html All images used are credited in the Bibliography of the PowerPoint and those not mentioned are either taken by me or from Office Clipart for Mac/Windows.
