Read My Lips Game!
This is a Drama game that helps students to revisit key terminology (including styles, skills and job roles) and also practice their vocal clarity and articulation.
Inspired by ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’s’ game of the same name - the game asks a student to have earphones on and face away from the board, another students to mime the words that will appear on the board. The other student will be given a set amount of time to guess the word their partner is miming.
Perfect for a starter!
Age Related Expectations - Year 8 Drama
This is a copy of our new assessment criteria in KS3 Drama.
This is based on ‘Age Related Expectations’ and includes the criteria for meeting these and also for achieving ‘Greater Depth’.
Each criteria is linked to areas of the National Curriculum in which this covers.
Drama Worksheet
This is a worksheet i created for students as an alternative to practical work. It lets them explore why drama is important for their development.
Modern Fairytale
This was a lesson which I taught as an interview lesson, which was successful! It asks students to create a modern day Cinderella as an introduction to a fairy-tale unit of work.

BTEC performing arts (drama pathway) student booklet NEW TECH AWARD 2017!
A booklet to help students collect evidence for all three components of the new technical award in performing arts. This includes:
- Research Task
- Key term help sheets
- Student logs
Each success criteria is covered for each component.
BTEC Performing Arts Tech Award - Acting *Component One work analysis teacher example PP*
This includes two PP’s that demonstrate an example of how students should analyse professional works. Students are asked to create a PowerPoint to analyse each work in line with the component one criteria and then will use these three to compare and contrast ready for their Component one assessment.
KS3 Year 8 years worth of lessons (6 per term, 5 terms = 30 lessons!)
This a fully resourced years worth of KS3 lessons (this is for year 8 but could also work for year 7).
This includes a full SOW and PP and homework activities for each booklet. Alongside, an evaluation booklet and assessment sheets.

This talks students through workshop write up and the setting and reviewing of SMART targets.

This includes three workshop explorations that provides evidence for comp 1 LAB (exploring the performance arts)

It includes three workshops and a quiz which consolidates, assesses and develops students understanding of LAA.
I also have a range of lessons, model examples and worksheets to support LAA.
Blood Brother's Workshops (Comp 1/2 Tech Award Acting)
This resource includes:
7-14 Blood Brother workshops which help students explore and develop their performance, physical and vocal skill for comp 2 (new tech award),
A document where they can record their progress for comp 2 and a PP to assist this.
A lesson, resource and model example of how students can explore Blood Brothers for comp 1.
A document which can be used to allocate students scenes from Blood Brothers.
Comp 2 Performing Arts - Blood Brother workshops
This resource includes 10 workshops used to develop my students performance of Blood Brothers for component 2.
This includes 10 full workshops that follow the learning cycle and makes reference to the assessment criteria.
KS3 performance diary
This is a booklet I created for my year 7. It includes key words, sentence starters and opportunities for self, peer and teacher assessment twice per term.
KS3 Boys Drama - Muhammad Al
This is a KS3 Drama SOW which is based around the life of the boxer Muhammad Ali. This includes, six five - six lessons based around the boxers achievements. This was created for a boy heavy group and was very successful.

Drama Home Learning Bundle
This is a bundle of Drama home learning resources that have been used with KS3 students - but could be easily adapted to KS4.
There are 8 weeks of content - with each week giving students an option of tasks to select from.
Drama bingo!
This is a Drama bingo card that can be used to challenge learners when devising Drama.
This can be done to challenge HAP learners, or can be used as a challenge for students to complete against one another (who can get a line or house, first)
Students can receive rewards for completing bingo to engage and motivate learners.
BTEC Tech Comp 1 PA - boardgame
This is a boardgame created to engage learners in component 1 of the BTEC Tech Award in Performing Arts.
There are two games - one for the Dance and one for the Drama pathway.
The boardgame includes our set works (West Side Story, Revelations, Swansong, Blood Brothers and Teechers) but is easily adapted to suit your own set works.
Students can roll a dice to decide which questions to answer and in which order. It can be done as a game between peers or a solo task.
Drama skills home learning menu
This is a menu that i have used as part of KS3 students home learning.
The intention of the menu is to allow students to develop their understanding of performance skills.

KS3 Drama - Remote Learning bundle
This bundle includes 2 units of work (6 lessons each).
Both units have been used for remote learning and for the delivery of live lessons.
One unit looks at Romeo and Juliet and the other improvisation, with the focus of students developing a script about being stranded on a desert island.
Each lesson has a PowerPoint Presentation
Each unit has a knowledge organiser.
Each unit has an end of topic assessment
There are opportunities for performance and creative tasks, such as script writing.
Lessons includes video examples for students to analyse.
Creative tasks have modelled examples to support students.
