This is a copy of our new assessment criteria in KS3 Drama. This is based on ‘Age Related Expectations’ and includes the criteria for meeting these and also for achieving ‘Greater Depth’. Each criteria is linked to areas of the National Curriculum in which this covers.

This is a selection of images that can be used as a stimulus for creative writing. For each image there is a caption which could also assist the creative process. These images have also been used in my KS3 drama lessons as starting points for drama.

This is a lesson which was used as an introduction to the elements of dance, students create each task to build their own routine.

These were designed for students who are removed, or cannot take part in practical dance or drama.

This is a sheet which allows students to document their use of drama devices within the devising process. There is also a help sheet, explaining and reminding students of the key devices, to support their development. Worked really well with my GCSE group!

This is a seven week SOW based around injustice throughout history. This explores slavery, Rosa Parks, The Civil Rights Movement and Hillsborough. This includes a detail SOW with key assessment points, assessment and evaluation sheets and a PowerPoint for each lesson, with resources. The SOW includes clear differentiation opportunities, which are also available on the PowerPoint presentation. I have completed this with year seven, however it is also suitable for year 8. Enjoy!

This includes two PP’s that demonstrate an example of how students should analyse professional works. Students are asked to create a PowerPoint to analyse each work in line with the component one criteria and then will use these three to compare and contrast ready for their Component one assessment.

This is a booklet which I use with Drama students to complete an essay to compare and contrast the three performance works studied for LAA. Each paragraph has a WAGOLL and sentence starters to assist them!

This is a booklet I have used with Drama students to support the written elements of component 3 (A1, A2,A4) . It offers students a WAGOLL for each activity and also references the assessment criteria.

This is an interactive game/activity which I use to develop characterisation and cooperation skills! Instructions of how to play are included The students really enjoy it!
