These are a selection of resources that I used with year 12 (2016-2017) and will be using with my new year 12’s (2017-2018) this year, that help give students the knowledge and understanding of learning aim A. These resources certainly helped prepare my students for when it came to the first assignment. This is not everything I did with my students to prepare them for the assignment but covered the first 10 lessons. Resources include: - Introduction Lesson - Developments in Social Media - Features and Target Audience - Supporting Aims and Needs - Features Tailored to Needs (2 Lessons worth of work) - Content - Negative Comments - Security Issues

Excellent resource if your students don't have the use of social media when completing this unit! This is a template that can be used to provide students with simulated data for them to analyse. This could be used when completing learning aim BC P6 of Unit 3 - Using Social Media in Business. This has worked fantastic for myself and has allowed me to provide students with information on the usage and interaction that their posts could get.

Two lessons for learning aim A of Unit 3 - Using social media in business. Developments in Social Media Features and Target Audience

This resource is a full lesson, possibly two depending on ability. I have used this resource with KS4 but it could be used with KS3. Included is a presentation which covers lists and how they can be used within Python, a workbook that allows students to work with lists and a full lesson plan. The workbook includes a series of tasks and challenges. It also includes areas for students to explain what the code is actually doing, showing their true knowledge and understanding.

Included are the following lessons for unit 1 of the new BTEC Level 3 course: - Digital Devices & Types of secondary storage (Magnetic, Optical, Solid State) - Input, Output, Storage and Accessibility Devices - Application & Utility Software - Types of Networks

These resources are for students which are completing the GCSE Computer Science - starting in year 9 and ending in year 11. Lesson 1 - Input, Output and Storage Devices Lesson 2 - Accessibility Devices

A full lesson which covers A3 of the specification, operating systems.

A variety of lessons which include: Binary Conversion, ASCII, Binary Addition, Hexadecimal, Ciphers and a final assessment. This pack covers 6 lessons in total. Each of the lessons come with activities and answers. Homework activities are also included. The final assessment allows all abilities to show their knowledge and understanding and comes complete with mark scheme. This SOW has worked extremely well with each of my year 8 classes; regardless of ability.
