Edexcel CC7b Allotropes of carbon. This presentation explores some giant molecular structures including diamond, graphite. fullerenes and graphene. It uses the structure to explain the properties and compare them.

This is a stand alone presentation I use for after school revision throughout the year to show students how to approach calculations involving moles. The slides can be adapted or quantities changed each week so that students practice new problems each time.

This is a powerpoint I use at the start of year 8 to familiarise students with some of the maths skills they will need including rounding with decimal places, rounding with significant figures and using standard form. Edexcel CC3b Ar and Mr calculations. This presentation introduces the mass number and atomic number and allows students to practice calculating the number of protons, electrons and neutrons from these numbers.
