This is a lesson designed to introduce/reinforce the past perfect tense. It incorporates several pair work tasks with lots of interaction and instant feedback /AFL. I created this for an observation lesson and have used it many times since. The resource contains a full lesson plan, PowerPoint presentation, a starter task, a worksheet, a help sheet and a card sort activity that you will need to print and cut up. This is a PowerPoint containing vocabulary match up starter activities for each unit in Studio 2 Module 3. I have included key vocabulary for each unit. If you don’t use Studio these will still be useful as I’ve labelled the topic as well as the Unit title. Each topic contains a match-up slide, an answer slide and a vocabulary test. Use the hyperlinks in the slide column to get to the section easily. I use these at the beginning of every unit, it’s a great settling activity and also forms the basis of homework each week.

Display: German Calendar Use this display each day to show the day, date, month, season and weather. This is ideal for a primary or secondary classroom. Move the green boxes and arrows to high-light the appropriate word/number/image each day. It’s a good idea to laminate the green boxes and arrows so that that last longer if they are being moved each day.
