Included are all the slides, planning and resources needed to run each lesson, with 14-15 lessons that focus on key features of information texts and work on different skills before completing their own independent writing. Written for Year 5 but easily adaptable between Year 3 and Year 7. Skills include: researching and planning, reading comprehension, using generalisers, creating a glossary and structuring a text with sub-headings and a topic phrase.

Two worksheets on relative clauses that get children to think more deeply about relative pronouns and clauses rather than just identifying them or creating sentences using them. A good mastery tool for those children who are working comfortably within the Year 5 and 6 curriculum.

Created for 5/6 but could be used for Year 4. The aim is to correctly punctuate celebrities tweets, pre-dominantly looking at capital letters and full stops as well as then looking at commas and semi-colons. Builds in to spelling as well by editing the spellings of certain words for children to then spot. First two pages are aimed at LA, pages 3 and 4 and for MA with pages 5 and 6 aimed at HA.

Three differentiated resources used with Year 5 children to work on antonyms and synonyms. The first activity requires children to find five antonyms and five synonyms for each word listed. The second activity begins with a similar activity to the first activity, before moving on to a passage where children have to replace the underlined words with synonyms. The third activity starts with an activity where children have to replace the underlined words with synonyms before moving on to a passage where they have to pick out words they can replace with synonyms.
