Independent writing is linked to George's Marvellous Medicines with children creating 'different' types of medicine with a list of possible ingredients also included and an example of how it could be written. Skills include: Using linking adverbs (time adverbials) and using imperative verbs as well as creating a poppy for remembrance day.

10 different word searches for children to work through. These include ones that lead to future activities such as adjectives, verbs and adverbs where children can then try and include these in sentences/ change the tense of the verb. Other word searches include words for the four different maths operations as well as then having some fun ones like Christmas words, words related to Harry Potter and words related to Star Wars.
