I have a selection of full lessons and display resources that I have built for my own lessons. They are all structured in a consistent way and are all automated so that they are easy to use. Some of the resources are free and others are paid for, anything that links together can be bought as a bundle.

Rounding numbers to a given number of decimal places

This is a full lesson resource based on an 80 min lesson but could be changed based on your class. It has an ordering decimal starter followed by the learning objective slide. The main starter is a rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 practice questions. This is followed by examples of rounding and a slide with notes and examples to be written into books. There are some differentiated questions and a qwizdom activity, the qwizdom could be done on whiteboards if you don't have the remotes in your school. The plenary is an exit ticket, there is a word document to print these out.

It has a settling starter for when students enter the room this is a multiplication grid for this lesson followed by the learning objectives slide. There is then a starter of shading fractions recapping from the previous lesson then matching them up to link to equivalent fractions. There are then a selection of examples for equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions. This is followed by a slide of steps and examples to copy into their books. It includes a slide of differentiated questions and a card trail activity. The plenary is an exit ticket activity.

This is a full lesson based on 80 mins but you could alter it to fit your classes. The settling starter for this lesson is simplifying fractions as they will need to be able to remember that during the lesson. This is followed by the learning objective slide and a starter that recaps adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator from last lesson. There are then example slides that include what to do if you are multiplying by a whole number and notes for students to copy into their books. This is followed by some differentiated questions. The extra practice activity is 10 quick questions, these slides are automated to move on after 30 seconds but you can change the time if you don't think your class will need as long. The plenary is an exit ticket, there is a word document for this so you can just print those off

This is a full lesson based on 80 mins that could be adapted for shorter lessons. There is a settling starter to recap square numbers followed by the learning objective slide. There is then a short starter about how to write in index form. There are then examples of indices with multiplication, division and brackets and notes to put into books. There are then differentiated questions followed by a tarzia activity for extra practice. Tarzia is not supported on TES so I have copied it into a word document for use. There is then a exit ticket plenary. The whole lesson is fully animated.

This is a full lesson about odd and even numbers is it set up very similar to my other lessons but there is more in there for the students to complete as it is quite a quick subject. The settling starter is a division activity followed by the learning objective. The main starter for the lesson is a place value activity to recap from previous lessons. There are then some examples of odd and even numbers followed by the note to put in books this is followed by an activity where students have to hold up odd and even cards (These cards can be printed out - print 2 sided then laminate). This is followed by the differentiated questions and an investigation task. Finally the plenary is an exam question style exit ticket.

I created this to use with my low ability Year 7 class. They were struggling in counting back in 10's, 100's and 1000's when we were generating sequences. This worksheet gives them the starting number and they have to find the first 5 terms. It is differentiated with some of the harder questions going past zero
