The maths behind the coronavirus unit of work This resource contains three lessons on the maths behind the coronavirus, useful for students in year five to nine. Each lesson is planned with warm ups (starters), main, and cool downs (plenary), and worksheets to complete in the lesson. Lesson one focuses on how the economy rapidly changed during this period of time. Lesson two focuses on vaccines, and how we can use maths to help create the perfect vaccine. Lesson three focuses on the maths behind social distancing and how we can use data and statistics to back up our points and make factual statements. This is a perfect opportunity for students to learn some maths beyond the curriculum.

11 Plus Year 4 Foundation Course It can be confusing knowing which 11 plus resources to start with when you are starting your prep early. This is why, after many of my tutees in year 4 never had work that was the perfect level for them, I created this set of resources. There’s a broad range of resources and books out there for different subjects and topics, but what do you start with? We have the solution for you. This course is the foundation to build up to success for the 11 Plus. Useful for students starting out in year four. Once the student advances and is able to tackle more complex problems, they should complete our 4 week course which is suitable for year five pupils, nearer to the exam: 11 Plus 4 Weeks Summer Course. Remember that the above course stated is for students who are confident in all abilities and skills required for the exam (year five).
