A very visual presentation and accompanying worksheets designed to encourage pupils to build up their sentnces rather than translate them directly from English. Using the Bake Off as a reference, pupils look at how to make their cake (the sentence) using a variety of ingredients (structures). I use the verb/ subject base (if the verb is not quite right then the cake sinks in the middle). There is a table of different structures for pupils to translate and identify before they create their own sentences.
Describing injuries in the perfect tense. For use with module 3 of expo 3 rouge. Powerpoint with examples of longer sentences and noughts and crosses game. Worksheet can be filled in after the presentation as consolidation.
let me know what you think.
Game board enabling pupils to revise key vocabulary for the topic of Education and work. All you need is a die and some counters. I print the boards out in colour A3 size and laminate them. Can be used for any language. I have uploaded boards for the other GCSE topics too. Very good for independent learning, encouraging spontaneous speaking (group talk) and GCSE revision. Do let me know if you think it needs altering in any way.
These are simply a set of cards with English on one side and Spanish on the other. My year 8 pupils have used them successfully to learn for an end of module test and there are several games that can be played with them.
They cover the subjects of free time activities, daily routine, personal description, character description and the near future
based on Module 1 unit 4 of Studio 1, this covers hair and eye colour, height, and introduces possessive adjectives (my and your) with family members. An easy reading comprehension sheet on hair and eyes is included for reinforcement
More on Les Ecogestes. Some reading comprehension on how to help the environment in the home. There is a link to a website with an light-hearted sketch on saving water though imaginary showering. Not to everybody's taste, so I have put the English transcript on a different worksheet.\nplease let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements.
This is a complete game which I edited from a template I found online. There are 5 categories and this is suitable for playing midway through the first term of learning French. The music section does not have the sound files on the actual powerpoint, but they are easy to find online and embed yourself (let me know if you find this difficult).
Do leave a review if you find this useful.
