Attached is a help booklet that provides ALL of the information required for a student to gain top marks in AQA Performing Arts Unit 1, with each of the 4 written parts broken down so that the student knows what to write. The PDF shows you the original layout in case the document changes on your computer and the word document allows you to edit the original document if you wish. I used this booklet with my previous cohort and had over half of the class receive A*/A and every student (class of 18) got C or above. The booklet was used specifically for the music discipline but has been adapted for drama and dance by other departments.

The Keyboard Classical Collection has two different classical pieces of varying difficulty. Each sheet has the main melody and the chords written above. These can be used as small duo/ensemble activities or solo performances, with the ability to be stretched from Year 7 all the way to GCSE performance if scaffolded correctly. This is an excel document that calculates a student's final grade based on their scores in composition, performance and listening & appraising. All you have to do is enter the student's scores a final 9-1 mark will be provided. Information has been sourced directly from OCR Music specialists and through CPD events, but all formulas and rules within the excel document have been added by myself. Student targets change colour based on if they are on, below or above target. All grade boundaries are provided on an alternative tab. Formulas have been added for up to 20 students. I use this resource with my Year 9 students in a Musical Futures-style project. Students learn all of the different band parts to Boulevard of Broken Days by Green Day and then form bands. Assessment is the final performance. Included: Guitar part, with chord boxes, tablature & structure for whole song. Bass guitar part, with bass tablature & structure for whole song. Keyboard/piano part, with standard notation, keyboards with chord labels & structure for whole song. All files are in PDF format.

In this resource pack there are 5 different PDF files that have a number of parts ranging from very easy to intermediate to complicated. There are also guitar chords. Notes are labelled, allowing all learners to access the work. I have used this in my school with Year 7 classes to teach rhythm, to great effect. I have also attached the Sibelius files so that you can edit any parts, add additional instruments or to make a full arrangement etc.
