Mrs Zippy's Language Downloads

I am a languages teacher who has, over the years, created many resources for teaching French and Spanish. Here I am sharing a few of these, in the hope it makes a hard-working teacher's life a little easier at a time when they need something quickly. I have many more still to share.

Food Connect-4 game - for use in any language class

(0)
A ready-to-use Connect-4 game based in Ppt which can be used to practise individual vocabulary items, sentence structures, tenses - or any other objective. I usually divide groups into 2 and have them compete. The game needs to be played in edit mode rather than slideshow mode - or the counters won’t move. The food pictures also need to be ‘sent to back’ so the counters can be seen when they are moved on top of them.

Body parts/Illnesses/Injuries Connect 4- for French, Spanish, German - or any language

I use this frequently with classes to practise body part names in Spanish and French. I usually divide the class into 2 teams and questions/aims can be varied as you wish to test vocabulary, sentence structure, tenses, etc. Could be used for any language. The pieces only move when the powerpoint is NOT in slideshow mode - so you need to adjust the size according to the display method you use.

Connect 4 and Noughts and Crosses - Ppt game to practise Countries vocabulary in any language

(0)
A ready-to-use Powerpoint based game of both Connect-4 and Noughts and Crosses to practise Countries vocabulary. Can be used to practise any language and with any objectives, e.g. single vocabulary items, sentence structure, tenses, etc. The games must be played in edit mode - NOT slideshow mode. The pictures in the grids must also be ‘sent to back’ so that the counters show up in front of them. I usually split groups up in to 2 and have them compete against each other - but again, this resource can be used in a multitude of ways.

Connect 4 - School subjects and Classroom items - Mira 1/Expo 1

(0)
A Connect-4 game which can be used to teach single items of vocabulary in any language for classroom items and school subjects. I created these to help teach from Mira 1 and Expo 1. The game must be played in edit mode rather than slideshow mode, otherwise the counters won’t move. The pictures must also be ‘sent to back’ so that the counters end up at the front. I usually divide groups into 2 and have them compete. Sometimes I use single vocab items, but also tenses, longer sentence structures as objectives for groups to meet in order to place their counter.
