Lesson PowerPoint which introduces the topic of behaviour and covers 2.1 from the AQA specification 8182 Sensation & Perception. A few visual illusion slides to introduce topic. learning objectives shared through progress grid, brainstorming activity of what is sensation. Key terms included, explanation of sensation, perception and the distinction between the two. Link to a video clip which explains the content and a compare the differences question.. Homework is to research visual illusions for the following lesson. Homework and progress grid included. Duck/rabbit illusion shared, apply it exam questions (5 marks) to answer and a quick true false quiz Progress grid includes the following learning outcomes: Identify, describe and explain sensation and perception​, Explain the distinction between the sensation and perception​. Two/three lessons in one on the male and female reproductive systems from learning outcome one. (1.5) Includes power point homework planning for progress grids First lesson: As a starter I provide students with information of each part of the reproductive system (not included). I give each student a different part. They have 5 minutes to get to know their reproductive part and then share the information with other students through a speed dating activity: Dating advice: Listen carefully to what your partner is saying Look at them when they are talking to you Ask lots of questions- check you have understood them Images shown on the board of both the male and female reproduction systems. Students are to draw their own diagram of each and label them based on learning from the previous activity. Apply your knowledge activity is on powerpoint. Students are shown a table which has the reproductive organs listed and students are to complete their own table explaining the function for each organ. Homework shown on powerpoint. Second/third lesson: How reproduction takes place: Powerpoint provides information on ovaluation, conceptualisation/fertilisation and implanation. Videos are also included in the powerpoint to support learning. Appluy it activity is to design a children’s book that explains reproduction. Instructions: It should include key terms ovulation, conception and implantation but be simple enough for a primary school student to understand. Homework/ additonal activity on powerpoint. Fill in the blanks activity on powerpoint for multiple pregnancies. Copy and describe/explain the development of an fertilised egg to a fetus activity. Card sort activity which looks at the development of a fetus. Homework/additional activity on powerpoint. I then ask students to use a textbook to explain the signs and symptoms of pregnancy Compare at least two of the signs and symptoms. Justify how reliable they are at identifying you could be pregnant. Another homework/additional activity on powerpoint. Follows Cambridge National level 1/2 learning outcome one (1.5) Understand the roles and responsibilities of parenthood:The structure and function of male and female reproductive .
