This resource pack focuses of the force of buoyancy and includes a series of 4 lessons and all the resources needed to teach them. There are also additional activities that can be incorporated into the programme of study. Two lessons to teach pupils about meteorites, asteroids and comets and the differences between them. It includes information about the Solar System as well as information about specific meteorites. These lessons were put together when we borrowed a set of meteorites from STFC as part of the Tim Peake Project in 2016 - most of the resource is adaptable for teaching the concept without the set of meteorites. A KS2 sheet for pupils to practice creating algebraic expressions and develop confidence manipulating algebra

I used this as homework with my Primary 7 (Year 6) class. They had to prepare, or help preparing, a meal at home and note down they made it and what the nutritional values of the food were. Their family then wrote comments about the food. Some of the work I have got in from that has been amazing - scrapbooks, powerpoints and presentations about how to make the meal step by step.

Challenging, real-life examples of calculating circumferences and perimeters of circles using Pi. Pupils also practise using a calculator to accurately calculate answers.

Science on the Web is an interactive, easy-to-navigate guide to the best current science resources on the internet. I am a huge advocate of doing practical work in primary science wherever possible, but sometimes it isn’t possible and when that’s the case the internet provides some outstanding resources to enhance the delivery of primary science. Science on the Web is split into two main sections; one covers the Experiences and Outcomes for the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and the other covers the key learning outcomes from the English National Curriculum. There are other pages covering General Science Sites, YouTube Channels, Citizen Science and Topical Science.

A budgeting problem involving completing a bank statement, calculating percentages, using a calculator and problem solving in real life contexts.

A set of 18 problem solving sheets (4 problems on a sheet). Mixture of concepts - I've used with Primary 6 & 7 pupils who need to be pushed and challenged. Also a set of 5 easier sheets. The problems are mostly NOT mine - I've collected them from 100's of different sources of the last 9 years - often I adapt them from Third Level (KS3) or GCSE questions so they are suitable for older primary pupils
