Great Diwali Vocabulary presentation. It is a great resource for presentation about the Diwali. I added a Diwali colouring book and also a presentation on how you can use these resources to make 31 different teaching resources in the classroom. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different items being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Diwali Key Vocabulary and Story. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different Diwali Key Vocabulary and Story features. The students can then discuss what they think each one was saying or thinking. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

Numeracy SATs Test Revision PowerPoints - Questions And Answers In Every Presentation.

I like to ask the class a question, give the class a certain amount of time to solve the question and then show me the answer on their mini whiteboards. I have taken the KS2 SATs numeracy question papers for the 2015 test and combined the question and answer booklets into a single presentation. This is a great way of teaching as there is an instant feedback and explanation as to how to solve each problem. This helps to challenge and consolidate the classes learning. This teaching resource could be used for whole class teaching and checking, or at home as a one to one resource with a tutor. These teaching resources make maths less stressful and so the students are more motivated to succeed! I have created resources for levels 3-5 and also separate resources for Level 6 students. All the students should attempt all the papers to both consolidate and strengthen their basic learning and also extend their skills to a higher level. If you like this resource, please leave a comment here. I have written a lot more teaching resources and uploaded them to my own website at http://www.TimeToTeach.co.uk.

Differentiated Maths SATs Revision Presentations - Questions and Answers

I have tried to make learning fun. My powerpoints combine the original question papers with the original marking scheme. This means that after each question, immediately comes the answers. My idea is that a teacher shows the question, lets the class answer it using mini whiteboards. Then the students can explain their different strategies and see what would have gained marks and how to improve their work. This pack contains both Level 3 to Level 5 material and also Level 6 tests. Every child should try every test. This helps to extend and challenge the main group, while consolidating the learning of the more advanced children. Even more effective teaching learning is to pair the advanced and less advanced - the effort of teaching the less able child actually improves the understanding and verbal explanation of maths. This teaching pack could be used in the classroom for whole class teaching, small group teaching or at home with a tutor. If you like this resource, please check out my teaching blog at http://www.TimeToTeach.co,uk. Please also leave me a nice comment here!

When I am revising maths, I like to ask a question and then the students answer it on their mini whiteboards. We then check the answer on the following slide. I have combined the test papers with the marking scheme, making teaching and learning a lot more fun. There is differentiated revision material. There are tests for levels 3 - 5, and tests for level 6, and some which are for all the students. All the students should try all the tests, to both consolidate and extend their learning to make sure they have the maximum chance of reaching their true potential. I have presented them in the different PowerPoint formats for the older and more modern computers. Did you know pairing a high achieving and less high achieving child together actually helps both? As the more advanced student explains how to solve a problem, they too improve their knowledge of mathematical vocabulary. If you like this teaching resource, please visit my teaching blog at http://www.TimeToTeach.co.uk If you like these materials, please leave me a nice comment. Nice comments mean a lot to me!

2016 Year 6 Sample SATS Maths Papers - Questions And Answers

In 2016, there will be a new Maths test format. I have taken the sample 2016 Maths SATs tests and combined the original question and answer papers into single documents. This means you can ask a single question to the class, wait for a response on their mini white boards and then check their answers against the official marking scheme. Check out my new video on how to make this lesson extra successful. The great thing about this is it really reduces the amount of stress in the classroom as the students are able to work on their own, in pairs or small teams to work out the answer. They can then discuss their different strategies at resolving each of the questions.. This is a nice set of teaching resources to keep a lesson well paced and snappy. Please leave your comments about it below.

I wanted to make Year 6 SATs revision more fun. I have combined each of the 2015 Past SATs papers for maths questions and the marking scheme into a single document. This means that a teacher can now show a single question and get the students to find the answer before moving onto the next question. This makes revision a lot less stressful. I have removed the time limits and of course students can now work in pairs or small teams to discuss their different strategies and answers. It also helps to make the lessons faster paced and snappier as the children start to gain confidence in their abilities to solve maths problems. This resource could be used in the classroom or at home to prepare for the UK Year 6 SATs exams. Students should try all the tests to gain the deepest knowledge of this subject.
