Fundamental Particles. This worksheet is to help AS level students get their heads around the different types of particles studied to to be used to refer back to throughout the topic. It should also be useful for revision.

Designed for low ability students, but with an extension task that could be used for higher students. This sheet allows students to visualize the molecule before trying to work out the formula for that compound.

This activity can be adapted easily for a wide variety of different ages and abilities. It gets the pupils to think about and/or research the pros and cons of spending billions of pounds on a mission to mars. Pupils then decide on what their view of the matter is and write a letter to the Prime Minister arguing for or against it. this activity could then lead onto a classroom debate about it.

This is a 'who am i' activity. It gets the students to read 10 different descriptions and the students need to say which of the four fundamental forces it is describing.

A worksheet based AC and DC currents, using the history of science talking about Edison and Telsa as the starting point. This was used for low ability pupils.

I allow my students around 30-40 minutes to do this in pairs. Following on from the previous worksheet where the pupils had to design their own vertebrate and label it, the pupils now have to design a habitat for their vertebrate, the boxes around the edge should be filled with labels explaining why they have put the things there. I got my pupils to do this in pairs and then made a display along with the earlier worksheet called 'Year 7's Fantasy Zoo'. I would recomend blowing this up to A3 size on the photocopier.

This is a full workbook covering adaptation, habitats, evolution, food chains, vertebrates, invertebrates and classification. This booklet is for use as a 'review' for pupils to see what they are confident with and what they need to work on. On each page the booklet starts with a quote from the film, working through as the film goes along, covering the first 45 minutes of the film. At the back there is a reflection sheet and a peer review section.

Each question has a answer preparation section, a keywords section and a space for the students answer and a mark scheme. There is a PowerPoint with videos for most of the questions and hints on the questions to go on the board. Designed to be used by non-specialists in the run up to the physics exam. A selection of QWC questions asked by AQA for each topic. Each page has the question and a short "answer preparation" section for the students to fill in. The students then answer the question, and as the mark scheme is on the back of each page mark their own work if revising at home.
