Explore spelling rules for adding suffixes with these fun snakes. Does the word have a short vowel followed by a single consonant? Then double the letter and add the suffix. The classic Magic Square problem comes to your Interactive Whiteboard. All rows and columns sum to 15. Can your pupils identify the hidden numbers? All numbers are on Aliens which hide and reveal the numbers when you click on their heads. This means you can make the number square easier / harder to solve before presenting it to your class. You can also click on their bodies to hide / reveal a space suit. This could be used, for example, to mark the Alien you are thinking about. This is ideal for a mental and oral starter. Put the ‘okay’ balloon next to the correct answers and the popping balloon next the the answers that are incorrect.
