This is an HTML5 version of my Electronic configuration and the Periodic Table activity (no flash plugin is required) Double click on the periodic table.html file et voila… . drag the electronic configurations to the correct elements. A Drag & Drop exercise for building up the electronic structure of atoms. After a short cartoon for building up an atom of calcium, students build up four atoms by drag and drop. Could be used projected on the whiteboard or by students individually at computers. Double click on the full atomic structure.html file and it will open in your browser. This is a variation of my ‘drag and drop functional group’ activity. In this case you drag the structural formula to the correct name of the functional group. If it is correct it will stick, otherwise it won’t. Could be used around the whiteboard as a quick AFL.
