This presentation looks at the different ways a parent can engage in their child's education using evidence and research.

This booklet can be used in core lessons along side the GCSE booklet (sold individually). Focuses on components of fitness required in sport and asks students to complete and analyse a number of fitness tests. A great booklet designed to last a number of weeks.

This booklet has enough in to last a number of lessons if required. It covers the theory behind principles and methods of training. It asks students to plan their own program and specific training sessions. Students can complete these sessions recording qualititive and quantitive information. It also has a number of examination questions and answers (at the back of the book). This can be used in core lessons - with the non GCSE booklet for non GCSE students without the exam questions. I have used this with Y10 and Y11 students with great success practically teaching a theory unity.

This booklet has enough in to cover a number of lessons. It focuses on some GCSE Principles and Methods of Training content in a practical way. This booklet can be used with your non-GCSE students (a booklet for your GCSE students is available with examination questions included). This asks students to plan a fitness program and deliver or participate in different sessions focused on different methods of training. Works perfectly in Core PE.

I lead a Year 11 cohort who were not engaging in the extra-curricular revision sessions that were set up for them, so I came up with this reward scheme. They would receive a certificate based on how many sessions they attending. I sold it to them that it would support their Sixth Form application if they could demonstrate that they were dedicated to their education and would give them an advantage against other applicants. The students that already attended continued to do so and those that previously did not felt they could boost their application with these certificates. Worked for my school.
