A Lent Story and Workbook

(0)
A PDF file of 20 pages for KS1 and KS2 looking at the celebration of Lent. The children will read about the reasons for fasting, the importance of the number 40, reflection and self-discipline, Jesus' suffering and pain, the origins of Mothering Sunday, Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and the use of the colour purple in churches. Having read the various fact sheets, they will then complete worksheets on what they have learned, poetry and story writing, writings about their mothers, words they have learned and their meanings, a few drawing activities and facts about my favourite pancake. A great resource as a lead up to Easter. I have also included a Powerpoint presentation in the price which teachers may wish to use in class or as an assembly.
