The Pastoral Guide is a shelf of free form time and tutor time resources for secondary schools, built for my own form. Each one is complete: the slides, a printable teacher pack with the timings and everything to hand out, and usually a print run is the only preparation. There are five minute form time activities, full tutor time lessons that also work in a PSHE slot, multi week pastoral projects, wellbeing check-ins, praise and display printables, and assemblies and whole school events. Underneath all of them is one idea: give students a way to build a value for themselves rather than telling them what to value. I am a form tutor and Secondary Science Teacher at a British international school in Bangkok, in international schools since 2019. I have been a form tutor for Years 7, 9, 10 and 12, and I am the Student Council Coordinator, which is where the assemblies and events come from.
