Global digital education business TSL Education last night made history at the 2013 Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Awards when it became the first ever company to collect the PPA's top accolade for a digital business product - for http://www.TESConnect.com - four years in a row.

TES Connect won the 'Digital Innovation of the Year (Business Media) award at last night's proceedings, which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. In 2010, the same website won the PPA's 'Web Service of the Year' award, and in both 2011 and 2012, TES Connect was crowned PPA 'Digital Product of the Year'.

Last night's win caps an exceptional period in TSL's development, which in the past year alone has seen the company launch two international websites: TES India (http://www.tesindia.com) and ShareMyLesson (http://www.sharemylesson.com) a JV with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

TES Connect continues to grow at a phenomenal rate: home to almost 620,000 teaching resources, the website connects a community of over 50 million teachers and students worldwide, with over 2.6m registered members in 275 countries and territories. In peak periods, 3.6m teaching resources are downloaded a week.*

The PPA judges found the levels of engagement that readers have with the TES brand to be "simply mind-blowing". They praised the growth of the site which has "…now grown to represent teaching at every level…" and concluded that TES has "…shown innovation across all channels and now has a massive overseas reach, making it a truly global force to be reckoned with. A very worthy winner of the PPA Digital Innovation in Business Media award."

TSL's CEO Louise Rogers said, "This is a fantastic result for everyone at TSL. The TES Connect website is by no means our only brand, but it is a great example of what our teams are doing every day as we work to develop the business globally across all types of media and all our brands."

The PPA awards seek annually to recognise excellence and innovation in the magazine publishing industry.
