The TSL Board have promoted Louise Rogers to CEO of TSL Education Limited in recognition of her valued contribution to the growth of the company since its sale by News International four years ago.
TSL Chairman Bernard Gray said: "Louise has been the powerhouse behind TSL's rejuvenation since 2005. Her work on revitalising our publications, driving our sales effort, focusing our Internet business on high growth opportunities, and replacing large sections of the company's systems all speak to the breadth of her talent.
"This promotion is excellent news, and a just reward for tremendous achievement over the past 4 years."
Louise joined TSL as Managing Director in 2005 where she has been instrumental in the relaunch of both the Times Educational Supplement and the Times Higher Education publications and their websites in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Previously, Louise ran the San Francisco operations of CMP Information, publishing the US's leading music enthusiast titles. Louise has 20 years experience in the specialist media field. In her earlier career, Louise was the publisher of Building Design, the UK architecture journal, and was an award-winning editor and journalist.
Speaking about her new position at TSL, Louise said: "In addition to relaunching two publications and the organic launch of two new business areas, TSL has overseen a digital revolution within the last three years - firstly in the realm of teacher recruitment, and secondly in the provision of over 15 million classroom resources straight into the hands of the active teacher community. I am very much looking forward to leading the next phase of growth at TSL.
Bernard Gray will remain fully engaged in TSL, and retains responsibility for overall strategic direction of the company on behalf of Charterhouse Capital Partners, the backers of TSL. The majority of Bernard’s time will be spent on the strategic direction of the business, and in managing the company's important external relations.
