Speaking at the event, Bernard Gray, Executive Chairman of TSL Education, said: "Our strategy has always been to put TES HireWire in the hands of schools first. That strategy has already exceeded our expectations. Since we launched in February this year over 1000 secondary schools (30%) have signed up with some 700 schools activated and using the service. More than 1000 teaching positions have been advertised via TES HireWire in a variety of different media, with 8000 teachers already registered as candidates. We anticipate more than 50% of secondary schools will be using the service by the end of this year. Our next step is to deliver that service to Local Authorities, by launching an online hosted jobs board on which schools will be able to post their vacancies via their TES HireWire account, completely free of charge and to ANY media of their choice."
