TSL Education (TSL), the largest single-profession social network in the world, with over 5.5 million registered members sharing hundreds of thousands of pieces of education content - has won the 2014 Return on Education (ROE) Award for Teacher Support from the Arizona State University, the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation and GSV Advisors (ASU + GSV) Education Innovation Summit.

"The ASU + GSV summit has become the world's foremost summit for entrepreneurs and leaders in ed-tech"

The award comes less than two years after entering the U.S market with the launch of ShareMyLesson, a joint venture with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). The success of ShareMyLesson, alongside TSL's recent acquisition of Wikispaces, means TSL now has 40% of all U.S teachers registered on its content-sharing platform.

"The ASU + GSV summit has become the world's foremost summit for entrepreneurs and leaders in ed-tech," said Louise Rogers, CEO of TSL Education. "To have been voted by our peers as the platform offering the greatest support to teachers is a genuine honour. I would like to thank our entire team at TSL Education, our partners at the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the millions of teachers on our platform who work tirelessly to drive up global standards of education."

The content sharing platform was chosen from over 350 education companies, all of whom had to demonstrate the ability to deliver the following outcomes:

• Significant increased access to education

• Substantial reduction in cost for learners and/or learning institutions

• Improvement in learning outcomes

• Provide substantial leverage to learning leaders (teachers, professors);

• A sustainable and scaled impact

TSL Education's resource-sharing platforms, which include TES Connect and ShareMyLesson, is home to more than 775,000 individually crafted resources developed by teachers for teachers, this collection helps teachers around the world inform and inspire each other, driving excellence in the global education sector.
