These powerpoints were made by me during my A Level Spanish studies; they summarise key facts, figures and discussion points relating to each of the topics and sub-themes which will help when it comes to studying and revising for the speaking exam, as well as vocabulary for the written exams. They include all of the year one and year two topics, as well as useful vocab that’s either listed or used within each slide. It’s set out in an easy-to-use order to avoid confusion and has extra information (e.g. examples of events in the Spanish-speaking world which are relevant to each sub-theme and can be very impressive in the exam) and is handy for finding what you’re looking for. My teacher will be using these to support her next class, I am sure it will be very helpful!

GCSE Social Issues - A self-flicking Powerpoint Presentation which has taken the vocabulary from the New AQA Spanish Specification. Great Revision tool which has the translation on the notes to support with the wording AQA use in the Specification, but also if a non-Spanish specialist is running key interventions for revision. It starts and stops with ‘S’ and to come out of it you need to press ‘esc.’ Vocabulary is collated into Foundation and Higher so it can be paused easily for different abilities.

Answers have been provided. This power point and booklet have been produced by an experienced A Level oral examiner and Spanish national and enhanced with input from other Spanish national academics and professionals. You can use the revision notes in a variety of ways: students make flash cards with them, to introduce a subtopic, to revise vocab in context, for ideas for the IRP, etc. A set of stimulus cards and general questions complements these notes, but both usable as individual resources. This is a listening/reading activity where students watch a cutting-edge insightful video on young people who have left Spain due to unemployment. Students work on to the transcript to answer questions INTERPRETING what they have seen/heard. It helps students to gain cultural depth, as well as develop their analytical skills. I used it as an introduction to the topic, and students worked in pairs. There is also a website with the same title which I found really interesting. Good for extension reading after the exercise. Here is a set of revision notes on the topic of young people, including cutting-edge areas such as the NINIS in Latinoamerica, differences between young people in Spain and Latinoamerica, examples of activism, values and ways of entertainment... These should help for students to make their own revision cards, as a means to revise key concepts an ideas, to prepare speaking cards, as a springboard for the preparation of the IRP.
