16 addition and subtraction self-check trail cards for Key Stage 1 (KS1) and early KS2 (and other equivalents). Here you will find samples from 4 different adding and subtracting mental maths self-check trail card sets, to be laminated for pupils to complete with wipeable pens. A more engaging alternative to worksheets, they can be turned into a competitive game if required, with pupils racing each other to complete. Regular use helps to build speed and accuracy. 4 cards have been taken from each of the following sets: Adding and subtracting within 20 Adding and subtracting to 50 Adding and subtracting 9, 10 and 11 Adding and subtracting multiples of 10 The full packs from which these cards have been taken each contain editable versions of 36 cards, answer versions of all cards plus another resource (bingo game or Tarsia jigsaw puzzles). All four full sets (144 cards plus the other bingo /puzzle resources) are available in a great value bundle here: Add / Subtract Games and Activities BUNDLE These are very flexible resources, ideal for starters, early finishers etc. They can be used by individuals or you could have pairs or small groups racing against each other to complete trails accurately. Starting at the top illustration and working their way around the card in a spiral, children write the answer to each calculation in the box, creating a running total as they go. The final answer is printed at the end of the trail, beside the illustration in the middle of the card, so they can see if they have correctly completed it. If not, children can check their work to see where they have gone wrong. In my TES shop you can also find some attractive, self-check maths board games, such as the ones in this bundle: Thank you for your interest in my resources. I hope they work well in your classroom and that I can save you time. For time-saving, engaging resources to help you plan Primary Literacy, Maths and French lessons, visit FullShelf Resources

Averages including range - Edexcel KS2/KS3 (Low/Middle ability)

Averages including range - Edexcel KS2/KS3 (Low/Middle ability)

Hi, This lesson is designed for students that really struggle to understand the core understanding of averages. This lesson looks into understanding the averages, range and solving problems. Interactive questions can be displayed or printed off from the PPT (including solutions). I have used this resource with 2 low ability groups and they thoroughly enjoyed the lesson. I have incorporated a wide use of differentiation and challenge within the PPT such as mini plenaries. This lesson took me 2 hours to each on both occasions. The Learning objectives covered are: - I can clearly identify different types of data. - I can use my knowledge to understand how to work out the mode, median and range. - I can understand how to calculate the mean of any given data. Please read the above before purchasing, Thank you. Enjoy! Miss.S.Rindi
