Headteacher Application - Personal Statement and cover letter. (Successful 2020))

(0)
A comprehensive covering letter and personal statement which I wrote during my recent job search. Although it obviously needed to be adapted to suit the needs of each school that I was applying for, I found that having a ‘base’ letter was extremely useful. I was shortlisted for each job I sent this application to (and gained a headship) There was nothing on line at the time that I could use to guide/scaffold me, so I hope that someone finds this useful!

A completed, exemplar application form for the NPQH course. This form represents HOURS of blood sweat and tears! Section 1 Experience and performance as a senior leader Section 2 Self-awareness and self-management Section 3 Delivering continuous improvement Section 4 Modelling excellence in teaching Section 5 Learning focus Section 6 Efficient and effective Section 7 Personal Drive and Accountability Of course, every form will be unique to the individual, however knowing how much it would have helped me has led me to offer it on here. Crime Scene Investigation Activity

(4)
A plan which contains all of the instructions, and the resources to set up a crime scene in your classroom. The only thing missing is for you to include the samples from your own crime scene (as this was how I organised the original lesson - with children genuinely ‘detecting’ the crime. However, I have added fingerprint samples, and crime scene photos for a quicker turnaround! I have used this several times, very successfully, both as a WOW topic starter, as science investigation, and even, once as a BIG writing hook. Please leave feedback.
