An addition square is a type of maths puzzle based on adding number together. The object is to make sure all lines add up to the same number.

It is a game/puzzle used to make learning number combinations fun for learners in order for them to be able to do more advanced maths with ease.

The aim is to fun while completing the puzzle. It may be a good idea to get learners to record the time it takes them to complete a page and then see if their speed improves as they work through the worksheets. This approach is better than competing with other learners to see who is the fastest.

The worksheet books can be given to the learners more than once to complete as the number of addition squares (120) are sufficient to ensure that they will not remember individual addition squares.
