Science Incentives: Biopoints

Science Incentives: Biopoints

This is a unique incentive system for any science classroom. This particular system is used primary for Biology, Life, or the Physical Sciences. I can customize these for any subject area you choose. (Send an email to andytaylor333@yahoo.com with details and I will design them immediately). Biopoints are unique because the incentive allows for students to choose the way they want to spend them. Students can earn 1 of 4 different types (Genetics, Evolution, Ecology, and Cell Biology). Points are doubled if they have one of each type. Normally, Biopoints represent an award for participation achievement. I used them for lesson assessments and end of unit focus questions. Implementing these points can be creative as well. I use a Biopoint wheel in which a willing student will spin before each class. That Biopoint spun will be the incentives for that day. All my students love these Biopoints and has even got the attention of administration on a district level. Please download the preview to see how effective this incentive can be.
