3rd class +, 8+ This resource contains seven posters, each one designated to one of the seven pronouns. Each poster also contains seven prepositional pronouns, with all of the first persons on one sheet, the second person on another sheet, etc. These can be used in a classroom display to help children identify which prepositional pronouns relate to each pronoun.

Irish Gaelic - Fun Way To Learn Bundle

Are you learning Irish Gaelic? Are you looking for a fun way to learn Irish Gaelic? I have developed a way to learn different languages based on my experience as an ESL teacher. This pack has 57 different settings for students to talk about in Irish Gaelic. The worksheets themselves are in English and the students do need to translate the places and objects they see into Irish Gaelic. At the end of the session, the students can play a fun game of word bingo to show they have mastered that day's vocabulary. Try it, it is a lot of fun for everyone!

These 5 posters show how adding a 'fada' to a vowel changes the pronunciation. Each poster gives words that contain each vowel, with and without the 'fada'. They can be printed out and used in a classroom display. You can add words that the children are learning to spell and words from their readers/workbooks.

classes 1st-4th, ages 6-10. These mini booklets can be printed out and completed as a whole class or group activity at the end of a unit of work, as revision or for homework. They can be laminated when completed and bound/stapled to make a class library of Irish 'Books' for children to read. These 'books' can be sent home to read with parents and used as revision. They can also be edited to add in more verbs/phrases of your choice to reflect the work done in your own classroom and also to differentiate for weaker/stronger children in your classroom. This idea can also be developed with other areas of the Irish Curriculum to make it useful for older classes. It can also be developed for the English Curriculum to make books on specific topics.

Can be used as a visual aid when children are 'ag scríobhneoireacht as Gaeilge'. Can be printed out A5 or smaller and given to children to keep in a copy/folder, or made into a booklet, for use at home. The first four persons only can be used for younger classes.

An Nollaig - Activities as Gaeilge (In Irish)

This resource contains three resources for a lesson in Irish. The first is a Bingo game, using Christmas vocabulary (See my display resource for that vocabulary) The second is a puzzle where students need to orientate themselves through a puzzle. This can be done using directions. (One person is blind folded and they must direct their partner around the puzzle) Or this resource can be used as a simple starter. The third resource is a word search. Each activity focuses oral skills and new vocabulary. It's a lovely way to finish the term off and also a way to keep students engaged in their final lesson.

This resource contains all the necessary displays for your Irish classroom this Christmas. I use these as a game first to introduce the vocabulary to my students. They are placed around my room and students are given a list of Christmas vocabulary in English. They then have to find the Irish equivalent. It's nice to watch students discover the vocabulary themselves as opposed to looking at a PowerPoint and writing everything down in a vocabulary book. Once the lesson is finished they can go onto a display board. I've attached the .pdf for easy printing.

A think pair share where students use a spider diagram to help them remember how to write a letter. 2. Letter analysis - Students are given a sample letter where the translte the most important aspects of writing a letter to santa. This is a list of questions I have compiled for both my Junior & Leaving Certificate students for the Oral Exam. As an examiner I have used these questions and it helps focus students learning for their exam. At the beginning is a list of phrases they can use to increase their fluency levels, sound more fluent and natural in their speech, all while thinking of an answer! It is very much geared towards Leaving Cert Ordinary level but I have also asked all to Higher Level students as well! There is over 100 basic questions that cover a wide range of topics.
