Is Jediism a real religion - Alternative religions SoW

Is Jediism a real religion - Alternative religions SoW

This is a really interesting lesson looking at one of the worlds newest (and coolest!) new faiths 'Jediism'. The students are introduced to the faith and asked the question 'is it a real religion'. They will learn about it's provenance, it's practices and it's philosophy before engaging in a debate over whether or not it should be granted religious status in the UK. A really interesting and fun lesson (especially if you have Star Wars fans in your class!) This lesson is suitable for KS3 , 4 or even 5.

Core RME/ Religious Studies - Stand Alone Lessons

This is a unit of lessons on a wide range of topics. It is hoped that the lessons will spark some discussion. The information is there to spark discussion and interest. The tasks are designed in a way that they stand alone, can be completed in succession or pick and choose. Some teachers may take a few weeks on one topic or task some may just take a lesson. I have included links to access further information or reading. These could also be used to spark discussion and lead to an Added Value Unit. Lessons Included Fake News Does Religion do more harm than good? Scientology Rastafari Right to Privacy Is Torture ever Justifed?
