One of the big questions scientists and environmentalists are asking is: how much Arctic sea ice is really left and how much longer will it last? A new expedition, in partnership with WWF, is trying to find out. The Catlin Arctic Survey, which set off at the end of February, is an international collaboration between polar explorers and some of the worlds leading scientific bodies, including the University of Cambridge. A team of three are traveling on foot across 1,200km of erratic polar sea ice, gathering vital scientific data.
