Theatre Practitioner Workbook

Theatre Practitioner Workbook

This workbooklet covers STANISLAVSKI-BRECHT-ARTAUD. The booklet is split into three different sections (one for each practitioner). There are a series of questions about the style and beliefs of each practitioner for the students to answer. It can be used as a standalone lesson, an activity in lessons or as a plenary. I have also used the booklet to provide research based homework. It could also be used as a revision tool. Once completed, I encourage students to refer to the booklet during the devising process to ensure they are using a range of techniques and strategies in their work.

Stephen Fry Wordsearch Puzzle Sheet Keywords KS4 Settler Starter Cover Lesson Drama Actor

Stephen Fry Wordsearch Puzzle Sheet Keywords KS4 Settler Starter Cover Lesson Drama Actor

Wordsearch Puzzle sheet on the theme of 'Stephen Fry'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

Physical Theatre Workshop Powerpoint (Frantic Assembly Focus)

This powerpoint can be used to lead a workshop on the work of Frantic Assembly or as an introduction to the style. The workshop normally runs at around 45mins-1hour but can be shortened depending on group size, age and ability if you wish. Included are clear instructions on how to run a Frantic Assembly warm-up, 3 video examples of Frantic Assembly's work in action and some basic Chair Duet choreography which you can use to inspire your students before they go off to create their own work. Exercises are explained in the presenter's notes of the powerpoint so that you can ready yourself to deliver the session with confidence. The powerpoint is ready to go as soon as it is delivered. You will need to ensure you have a projector and the ability to play music (links to youtube pages with the required music tracks are included in the presenter notes). You will also need to ensure that you have a chair for each participant for the final task.
